Who we are
Introduction
International Legal Alliances - Microjustice for All (ILA) is an international network organitation, registered in The Nederlands, with a supporting back office in The Hague.
After the first steps in former Yugoslavia as of 1996 the initiative developed into a co-ordinating and networking organization that assists local initiatives to set up their own microjustice programs woldwide. It encourages and stimulates new locally owned initiatives and disseminates microjustice knowledge in local communities. Today ILA - Microjustice for All has antennas in the Balkans and in the Andes - Countries. Others are in preparation for Asia and Africa.
Access to rights is a key prerequisite for people to satisfy their basic needs, to live in dignity and to develop themselves. This prerequisite is not met for four billon people in this world. Justice aspects are just beginning to be recognised as a key aspect for any form of development.

Mission
The mission of ILA - Microjustice for All is to facilite people to have access to their fundamental basic rights. The priority is with the most vulnerable people. On the one hand the work is directed towards helping persons directly, on the other hand towards improving the institutional circumstances by eliminating obstacles that hamper access to rights.
