Juana Huayller has lost her husband recently. Now, as a widow, she needs to earn her living. She wanted to open a little coffee place near the market. She has approached a microcredit institution where an officer explained the requirements to get a loan. Among those, she needed a death certificate of her husband. This certificate will allow her to have a preferential interest rate.

Juana Huayller had not registered her husband’s death on time to receive such a certificate, as she was not aware of the need to do so. Now she has to go to court to arrange it, but she cannot afford the high fees requested. One day Mrs. Huayller heard about Microjustice Bolivia. She approached an outlet and realized that the price asked was one she could pay and that the payments could be done in small instalments. After a couple of months she got the death certificate from her husband and went back to the microcredit institution. She now has her little coffee place and can cover the basic needs of her home and family.
